Balgreen Primary School in Edinburgh is seeking a Cook 1 on a fixed-term basis until 29 June 2027. Hours are 10 per week over 38 weeks (sessional), with shifts from 11:30am to 2:00pm, Monday to Thursday. Salary ranges £25,661–£25,924 (pro rata for part time and sessional).

You will join a small team delivering meals and basic food preparation with excellent customer care. This regulated post requires PVG Scheme membership and pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• PVG scheme check is required prior to employment
• Ability to work mornings/afternoons as scheduled
• Team player with catering and customer service experience

Responsabilités

Our cook 1's/catering assistants play a vital role in delivering high quality catering services within schools. Working as part of a team, to deliver a range of meals, basic food preparation and great customer care.

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. Anunconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
