A regional health board is seeking highly motivated cooks for their Withybush Catering Department. This role involves preparing high-quality meals for patients and visitors, working in a busy environment with a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays. The candidate must have relevant qualifications such as City & Guilds 706 and demonstrate solid communication skills, along with a requirement for experience in special dietary preparation. Salary is set at £24,833 per annum.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for highly motivated and committed individuals to join our team of cooks in Withybush Catering Department.
We have 2 x 37.5 hour cook posts available. As part of the role, you will be required to work weekends and Bank Holidays on a rolling rota basis, between the hours of 6:30 am to 7pm, 7.5 hrs per day Monday to Sunday.
Based at Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest you will have the day-to-day responsibility for providing high quality food within a hospital environment. Catering for patients, as well as staff and visitors, in our canteen.
The successful candidates will need to able to work as part of a team producing high quality meals for patients, staff and visitors in a busy commercial kitchen. A flexible approach to the needs of the service and excellent communication skills are also essential. Experience in preparing meals for special dietary needs would be an advantage for this post.Candidates must have City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or equivalent or NVQ Level 3 in Food Preparation, plus a basic food hygiene certificate.
