Qualifications

As a Cook at Sodexo in Doncaster Royal Infirmary, you'll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience. Key responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and quality standards
  • Operate and maintain regenerative ovens efficiently, ensuring optimal cooking performance
  • Manage cooking schedules to meet the demands of catering orders and kitchen workflow
  • Contribute to menu planning and recipe development
  • Support, guide, and train junior chefs and kitchen staff
  • Adapt cooking techniques to suit the capabilities and features of regenerative ovens
  • Ensure full compliance with health and safety, hygiene, cleanliness, COSHH, and fire safety regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment
Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) and at least 2 years' experience as a chef
  • Experience operating regenerative ovens or similar advanced cooking equipment is preferred but not essential
  • Strong background in catering operations and large-scale food preparation
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy kitchen
  • Basic Knowledge of Dysphasia dietary requirements (Preferred not essential as training will be provided)
  • Clear, respectful communication and a strong team spirit
Working Hours and Benefits
