Proactive Technical Limited is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters/Installers for a major automation project in Leicester. The role involves installing and modifying conveyor systems and requires proven mechanical fitting experience, the ability to read engineering drawings, and a valid CSCS Card. The position offers £30 per hour with an immediate start for a contract of up to two weeks.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical fitting and conveyor installation experience.
• Background in automation, material handling, or warehouse projects.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work independently.
• Experience with fabrication and on-site mechanical modifications.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• Available for immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Install and modify conveyor and automation systems.
• Realign chain conveyors and pallet hoist conveyors.
• Install kickplates, safety fencing, doors, and cable access routes.
• Fit bearings, endcaps, gaskets, and mechanical components.
• Drill floor fixings and install brackets, eyebolts, and wire restraints.
• Carry out mechanical modifications, cutting, and adjustment of frames and supports.
