Salary: £40,000 to £55,000

A top 100 UK law firm, known for its award‑winning innovation and modern approach to legal practice, is seeking a Conveyancing Manager to join its Residential Property and Compliance Team. This is a non‑earning role, ideal for a qualified legal professional who enjoys technical work, compliance, and operational support. The firm has reshaped the legal landscape with its flexible model and was named Law Firm of the Year at The Lawyer Awards 2020 and Firm of the Year.

The Role

This newly created position supports the Head of Conveyancing and combines technical conveyancing expertise with compliance and lawyer support responsibilities. It offers flexibility to work remotely, with occasional visits to the firm’s central London office if .

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the annual renewal of The Law Society’s Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS)
  • Assisting with CQS compliance and induction processes for new joiners
  • Reviewing Completion Monitor alerts and taking appropriate action
  • Conducting rolling CQS file reviews and analysing HM Land Registry requisition data
  • Managing requisitions for lawyers who have exited the firm
  • Responding to general residential property enquiries
  • Supporting General Counsel with technical reviews for residential notifications/claims
  • Monitoring lender platforms, managing lawyer access, and ensuring timely updates
  • Providing technical and procedural guidance to the Residential Property Team
  • Researching emerging legal issues and collaborating with Conveyancing Counsel
  • Drafting precedents and reviewing firm policies and handbooks
  • Assisting Corporate Counsel with lawyer offboarding processes
  • Reviewing and approving bespoke undertakings in line with firm protocols
About You

We’re looking for a qualified legal professional with:

  • 5+ years’ PQE as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive
  • Strong residential conveyancing experience and technical knowledge
  • Excellent attention to detail and comfort with legal tech tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for lawyer‑facing work
  • Experience in compliance or operational support (desirable)
