Job summary

Saica Group - Conversion Operator role based at Wigan, Lancashire. You will operate and maintain conversion machinery to slit, macro punch and micro perforate film, ensuring output meets customer specifications and quality standards.

This full-time, permanent position offers a 12-hour rotating shift pattern, 22 days holiday, overtime at 1.5x, training and career progression within Saica Flex. Applications close 08 December 2026.

Qualifications

• Background in manufacturing environments is required.
• Ability to read and follow customer specifications.
• Set up slitting, hole punching and perforation processes.
• Perform bagging, labeling and palletisation per specs.
• Maintain quality through daily checks and lean practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain conversion machinery to slit, macro punch and micro perforate plastic film.
• Follow customer specifications and SOPs to ensure correct production runs.
• Monitor quality and perform samples checks during production.
• Complete daily production reports with outputs and metrics.
• Follow site health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
