Controls & Instrumentation Engineer (PLC Programming / Maintenance)

£50,000 - £55,000 + Weekdays + Day Shift + 25 Days Holiday + Project Based

Dudley, Birmingham

Are you a Controls or Instrumentation Engineer looking for a Project & Maintenance role where you will be involved in multi-million pound projects by commissioning, programming and maintaining process control equipment?

Do you want a role on a large, complex site with recent CAPEX investment, working alongside a team of high-skilled technical experts where you will be granted autonomy, respect and recognition for your contributions?

In this role you'll be working in a specialist controls and instrumentation team in an ATEX environment. The role will involve working mostly with Allen Bradley PLC's, HMI's and instrumentation, and will be a mix of routine maintenance, installation and line adaptations. As a Controls Specialist, you'll be responsible for programming and commissioning.

This company are a long-standing manufacturer and operate a large site in North East Birmingham. They pride themselves on their safety record and comradery, with all teams being specialists in their own sectors.

This role would suit a Controls Engineer, Systems Engineer, Instrumentation Engineer with an understanding of functional safety, looking for Project & Maintenance role that offers autonomy, respect and recognition as a technical expert.

The Role
  • Programming, modifying and commissioning Allen Bradley / Rockwell / Siemens PLC's and HMI's
  • Checking and calibrating instrumentation
  • Mix of maintenance and project based work - constantly evolving
  • Adhering to international Functional Safety Standards
  • No travelling - all work is on a Dudley based site
  • Monday - Friday, Days based, 40 hours per week
