Job summary

A leading global engineering automation firm is seeking a Controls Engineer to support the maintenance team with PLC technical repairs and fault management. The ideal candidate will hold an ONC-HNC-HND or equivalent in engineering and have experience with electrical control systems. The right Controls Engineer will support the site's maintenance team (Controls/Technically) within a purpose-built, site-based automation environment.

Responsibilities
  • To support the PLC technical repairs
  • Prioritise system faults.
  • Error management
  • Technical fault management, controller and communications to the wider network.
  • Adhering to agreed communication and fault management processes.
  • Identifying any process failures and escalating as required.
  • Targeting maintenance activities as identified via the EIS / SCADA data analysis.
  • Root-cause analysis of faults using industry-recognised tools.
  • Rectification and prevention of issues.
  • Experience with Siemens S7, ProfNet, Profibus, and Ladder.
Qualifications
  • ONC-HNC-HND qualified engineering, OR BSc, or MSc
  • Electrical control system experience
  • Site-Based FMCG works/experiences.
