Red Bull Technology offers an undergraduate placement on the F1 Controls team in Milton Keynes. The role runs for one year from summer 2027, giving you hands-on experience in electro-hydraulic control systems and data analysis within a championship-winning environment.

The placement targets Mechanical, Control System, and Automotive Engineering students with strong mathematics and analytical skills. Matlab/Simulink knowledge is advantageous and the team emphasizes problem solving and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student studying Mechanical, Controls or Automotive Engineering.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Understand interactions between software and hardware in electro-hydraulic control systems.
• Support and analyze data from race, test and dynamometer events.
• Develop automated routines and processes for data analysis and metrics generation.
• Provide real-time event support.

Description

Red Bull Technology have exciting opportunities for undergraduate students to spend a year as part of our F1 Controls team. The placements will run from summer of 2027 for one year and offer the opportunity to demonstrate your enthusiasm and apply your knowledge in an open and dynamic environment.

The position is targeted towards Mechanical, Control System, and Automotive Engineering students. Candidates will require excellent mathematical and analytical skills and an engineering background. Knowledge of control system principles and experience with Matlab/Simulink would also be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Understand interactions between software and hardware in the context of electro-hydraulic control systems
• Support and data analysis of race, test, and dynamometer events
• Develop automated routines and processes for data analysis and metrics generation
• Provide real-time event support
