Job summary

ZENOVO in Leicester is seeking a Project Engineer to join the control systems team, delivering complex SCADA/BMS solutions in safety-critical environments. You will support the full lifecycle from specification and design through to installation, testing and commissioning.

The role is suitable for engineers with SCADA/BMS, PLC, and automation experience who can work with project managers, clients and suppliers to ensure compliant, reliable engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in control systems, automation or safety-critical environments.
• Knowledge of SCADA/BMS and PLC-based controls.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience delivering projects from design through commissioning.
• Strong communication with customers and teams.
• Engineering qualifications such as HNC/HND/BEng.

Responsibilities

• Support control system projects from concept to completion.
• Prepare engineering specifications, designs and documentation.
• Design solutions to meet customer specifications.
• Support testing, commissioning and site activities.
• Manage technical interfaces between clients, suppliers and internal teams.
• Review technical documentation for safety and quality compliance.
• Provide on-site technical support during installation.
• Assist with bids and technical proposals.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within the team.
