Job description

Recruiting both standard and Senior Control Systems Engineer, you'll take ownership of projects through their full lifecycle - from initial design and software development to testing, commissioning, and handover. You'll play a key part in delivering innovative control solutions and supporting the growth of a talented engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and commissioning of control and automation systems.
• Attend client meetings, conduct site surveys, and provide technical leadership on projects.
• Develop and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA software using leading platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, AVEVA, or ClearSCADA).
• Produce detailed technical documentation and ensure all designs meet project specifications and standards.
• Oversee site-based commissioning activities (occasional short stays away from home).

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 5 years' experience in control systems engineering, ideally with project leadership experience.
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering.
• Strong understanding of PLC and SCADA/HMI software development.
• Experience with major automation platforms such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Wonderware (other systems also considered).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
• Prior mentoring or team leadership experience is advantageous.
