Job summary

A manufacturing and installation business in the UK is seeking a Control Systems Programmer to develop and commission PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, primarily for Siemens and Mitsubishi platforms. Responsibilities include on-site commissioning, fault-finding, and working collaboratively with engineers and electricians. Ideal candidates will have strong PLC programming skills, experience with automated machinery, and the ability to travel frequently for site work.

Qualifications

• Strong PLC programming experience, ideally Siemens (TIA Portal) and/or Mitsubishi.
• Exposure to Allen-Bradley desirable.
• Experience commissioning automated machinery or production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems for Siemens and Mitsubishi platforms.
• Collaborate with the electrical panel designer to meet specifications.
• Carry out on-site commissioning of new equipment and systems.
