Job summary

A leading defense and aerospace company is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join their Research & Technology team. This role involves designing systems, validating prototypes, and applying control systems engineering practices. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field and substantial experience with MATLAB/Simulink. Qualifications

• Experience of practical system design using MATLAB/Simulink, particularly of control systems.
• Degree qualified in a relevant Engineering or Systems discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Mechanical/Electrical/Software background with experience on complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Designing and assisting in building prototypes and systems suitable for testing.
• System validation and verification, including supporting design reviews.
• Problem solving and providing timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues.

Skills

Experience of practical system design using MATLAB/Simulink

Mechanical/Electrical/Software background

Understanding of system communication protocols (e.g. CAN bus)

Education

Degree in relevant Engineering or Systems discipline
