Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to design and develop control systems for specialist manufacturing machinery. You will program PLC-based systems, create software specifications, and document control concepts.

You will support electrical/electronic system design, explore new technologies, and manage projects from feasibility to customer handover, including site commissioning in the UK and abroad.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualification such as a degree, HNC, HND or apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in control systems, automation, electrical/electronic engineering or related role.
• Experience developing or working with PLC:based control systems.
• Experience with industrial automation and machinery control.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for specialist manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Develop, program and modify PLC:based control systems.
• Develop control system concepts, software specifications and supporting documentation.
• Support the design and integration of electrical and electronic control systems.
• Research new solutions, technologies and techniques to enhance our equipment and processes.
• Support the full project lifecycle, from feasibility and design through to build, testing, commissioning and customer handover.
• Test, troubleshoot and optimise control systems during equipment build and commissioning.
• Support on:site commissioning and testing of equipment in the UK and internationally.
