Job summary

An established power generation company is seeking a Control Room Operator to manage day-to-day operations at a combined cycle facility. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with gas turbines and familiarity with DCS/SCADA systems, as well as the ability to work a rotating shift pattern. Your responsibilities will include operating the plant, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring efficient operations alongside maintenance technicians. This role offers a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

Control Room Operator – Combined Cycle

Maryland

Up to $50 per hour.

We’re recruiting for a Control Room Operator / CRO / Plant Operator to join a combined cycle power plant in Maryland.

Joining an established and well respected business in the power generation industry, you will be tasked with the day to day operation of the combined cycle facility.

Responsibilities

• Via the control room, operate and monitor the plant. (Turbines, BOP & Auxiliary Equipment)
• Fault find and troubleshoot plant when needed.
• Monitor pressures, temperatures, flow rates and emission.
• Work with maintenance to ensure the plant if running efficiently.

Requirements

Successful applicants for the Control Room Operator / CRO / Plant Operator opportunity should have the following experience.

• 3 years experience with gas turbines.
• Experience operating a power plant via a DCS / SCADA system.
• Ability to work a rotating shift pattern.

Desirable

• Maryland Grade 1 Stationary Engineer License (Preferred but not essential)
