Are you calm under pressure, quick to react, and ready to help keep AEG Present's newest venue, Watford Colosseum, running safely and smoothly? As Control Room Operator you'll respond to alarms and monitor CCTV; coordinate with emergency services and support life safety systems.

You’ll be at the centre of it all, playing a vital role in the safety and security of our guests, staff, and venue.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Monitor and respond to CCTV, alarms, access control, and life safety systems
  • Operate all control room systems in line with SOPs and emergency plans
  • Liaise with Venue Management, Security, Contractors, Emergency Services, and other partners
  • Ensure all communications are clear, professional, and timely
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Data Protection, Human Rights, and Health & Safety regulations
  • Support a positive team culture and assist with absence/surge cover as needed (12‑hour shifts, both days and nights)
What We’re Looking For
  • SIA CCTV Licence with experience in a control room setting
  • Background in customer service and a strong commitment to high standards of care
  • Ability to stay calm, patient, and professional in high‑pressure situations
  • Strong communication skills—radio, telephone, and written
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and picking up new systems quickly

You’ll be based at the venue in Watford.

Hours of Work

7‑hour shifts (Evenings 17:00‑00:00). There may be extended hours if after parties' post event take place, or if shows start earlier in the day.

Rota’s will be sent a month in advance and you pick your availability.
