Job summary

Proactive Global is recruiting an experienced Control Panel Supervisor in the United Kingdom to lead a skilled team in an established engineering and manufacturing environment. You will oversee daily panel build and wiring activities, support technicians, and ensure safety and quality while meeting production timelines.

The role requires reading electrical drawings, providing technical guidance, and driving improvements in workshop processes and efficiency, with a focus on mentoring junior staff

Qualifications

• Experience in supervising teams in electrical panel build and wiring environments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Proven track record of maintaining quality standards and safe working practices.
• Wamiliarity with PLC/control equipment and testing processes is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team working on the build and wiring of electrical control panels
• Organise daily workloads and ensure work is progressing in line with production requirements
• Read and work from electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
• Provide technical support to the team during assembly, wiring and testing activities
• Carry out checks on completed work to ensure panels meet the required quality and workmanship standards
• Assist with testing and fault-finding where required
• Maintain relevant production and testing records
• Liaise with engineering and production colleagues to resolve technical or scheduling issues
• Identify opportunities to improve workshop processes, efficiency and quality
• Support the training and development of less experienced members of the team

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day panel build activities, supporting technicians, maintaining quality standards and ensuring work is completed safely and within agreed timescales.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support a team working on the build and wiring of electrical control panels
• Organise daily workloads and ensure work is progressing in line with production requirements
• Read and work from electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation
• Provide technical support to the team during assembly, wiring and testing activities

Skills

• Practical experience with panel wiring, assembly and testing
• Good fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Familiarity with PLC/control equipment would be beneficial
• Confident using standard hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Able to prioritise workloads and work effectively to deadlines
• Proactive attitude with an interest in improving processes and supporting the wider team
