Job description

Contract Manager (Commercial Gas)

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 + Company Car

Location: Dartford (open to hybrid)

Type: Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday (08:00 – 17:00)

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager with PPM experience and a mechanical/electrical background to manage M&E engineering and fabric staff, as well as subcontractors on site. The main purpose is to ensure service delivery and quality of service per contract with a proactive approach.

In return, the client offers a salary of up to £60,000 per annum, 25 days holiday, company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop, pension scheme available, death-in-service insurance twice annual salary, and a healthcare scheme available after two years.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day management, support and technical assistance to field-based engineers.
• Mobilise PPM contracts – follow company process and checklist, attend sites to update asset registers, write 60‑day reports, create RAMS, arrange manufacturer’s instructions, and more.
• Professionally manage all planned and reactive M&E operations across multiple sites.
• Quote and run small works for heating/air‑conditioning up to a value of £(phone number removed).
• Manage a team of mobile engineers and a contract supervisor.
• Ensure overall delivery of service to each contract, including ad‑hoc projects.
• Attend weekly manager meetings with the Managing Director and monthly finance meetings to review P+L figures.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• Experience within the gas sector.
• Excellent work ethic and client relationship skills.
• Full clean driving licence.
• DBS disclosure required.
