External Contracts Manager - Planned Works (Roofing Focus)

Location: Bracknell, Windsor, Slough | Salary: £42,000 + great benefits

Contract: Permanent

What you'll be doing
  • Lead and manage roofing and planned works contracts from tender to completion.
  • Produce detailed specifications and programmes of work to ensure value for money.
  • Oversee contractor performance, ensuring compliance with CDM and Health & Safety legislation.
  • Maintain tight financial control and report on progress against key milestones.
  • Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to drive continuous improvement.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, addressing any queries or issues promptly and professionally.
What you'll bring
  • HNC (or equivalent) in a building-related discipline, or proven experience in a similar social housing role.
  • Strong understanding of statutory construction and housing regulations, including CDM and Asbestos.
  • Experience creating, procuring, and managing contracts for roofing or planned works.
  • Commercially astute with excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Full driving licence and flexibility to travel across operational areas.
