A civil engineering firm in the UK seeks an experienced Contracts Manager for Groundworks to oversee multiple sites across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in groundworks, strong leadership skills, and a valid UK driving licence. The role offers a salary of up to £100,000, a company van, and a supportive work environment with opportunities for progression.
Location: Offices around Northamptonshire and Leicestershire (travel to sites as required)
Salary: £65,000 to £100,000 (DOE) + van + fuel card + benefits

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager Groundworks professional to join a successful and growing civil engineering business. You’ll oversee multiple sites, enjoy autonomy, a supportive team, and strong job security within a company that’s expanding.
This established groundworks specialist operates from offices based around Northamptonshire and Leicestershire, running 6 to 7 active sites at any one time. The company delivers high-quality groundworks across commercial, residential, and retail groundworks. They pride themselves on safety, quality, efficiency and reliability. All staff are trained to industry standards (CSCS, CPCS, SSSTS, SMSTS, NPORS) and the company maintains a strong reputation with major nationwide developers.
You’ll take charge of multiple groundworks projects from start to finish, managing teams, budgets and client expectations while ensuring all work is delivered safely, on time and to specification. You’ll spend part of the week visiting sites and the rest in the office, ensuring smooth delivery and communication across all projects.
