A leading UK construction firm is seeking a Contracts Manager to oversee projects ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. The successful candidate will manage project managers and collaborate closely with clients, ensuring high quality standards. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience in contracts management and ideally hold a construction-related degree. Proficient IT skills and knowledge of AutoCAD are preferred. This role offers a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years experience in a Contracts Management role.
  • Knowledge of the Commercial & Fit Out sectors is desirable.
  • Background in Quantity Surveying is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of Project Managers.
  • Attending client meetings.
  • Planning and Programming of works.
  • Preparing materials take offs for each project.
  • Agreeing design specifications.
  • Overseeing preparation of design drawings with CAD technicians.
  • Preparing design, manufacture and installation programs.
  • Liaising with production and site management to deliver the final goods.
  • Attending project handover meetings with clients.
  • Agreeing variations and valuations.
  • Managing overheads and all relevant costs.

Job description

Expert are working in partnership with this Limavady based client to recruit a Contracts Manager. This is a critical role for our client and as such only candidates that meet all of the specified criteria need apply. Over the years, our Client have successfully completed a wide range of construction projects for both the public and private sectors, developing a pragmatic approach to building contracts and project delivery. They have a "right first time " attitude that has led to their fantastic reputation within the UK Construction sector.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of projects, both within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Projects: Commercial & Fit Out
Location - Northern Ireland & London - applicants will be required to spend 2 days & one night in London, with the remainder of the working week Office based
Applicants are expected to have at least 5 years experience in a Contracts Management role.

The position will be split between Office and Site, see above. It is expected that the potential candidate will have proficient IT skills including Microsoft office and ideally AutoCAD. Also, a background in Quantity Surveying would be desirable but not essential.

It is desirable that applicants have a knowledge of the Commercial & Fit Out sectors and have at least 5 years experience in a similar role. They will hold a Construction related Degree .
