My client, a main developer is looking for a Contracts Manager for a brand-new flagship scheme in Little Chalfont, Buckingham. The ideal candidate will have worked as either a CM or PM running multiple large volume build traditional build housing schemes with knowledge of NHBC.

This role will be covering projects across Hertfordshire and Essex, with the HQ in Essex.

Duties
  • CM, reporting into the Construction Director
  • Working with a SM, ASM or a Trainee ASM
  • Pre-start meetings
  • Chair sub-subcontractor meetings
  • Recruitment
  • Ensuring the development is completed in accordance with specification and the build programme
  • RAMS
  • Full understanding of H&S and ensuring its adhered to
  • Snagging of sub-contractor work
  • Conducting meetings with sub-contractor directors
  • Providing accurate and regular reports on progress and dates
  • Controlling additional costs for non-productive costs and prelim expenditure
  • Reporting to department heads
  • Driving through quality at every stage of the construction process
  • Ensuring the development pass internal and external inspection processes
  • Taking responsibility for self-development and the development of others
  • Monitoring and controlling the quality of production and approve stage completions to payments to subcontractors
Qualifications
  • CM or PM, working for a PLC, on trad build projects
  • Experience of running projects simultaneously
  • New build, residential experience
  • CSCS , Black card
  • First Aid, Scaffold awareness
