Electrical Contracts Manager

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to oversee and manage large-scale electrical projects. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining strong client relationships and compliance with UK regulations and standards.

As an Electrical Contracts Manager, you will undertake a hands-on and varied role at our offices in Nantwich, where your duties will include:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of electrical contracts, ensuring all deadlines and financial targets are met.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including budgets, schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage project teams, including engineers, subcontractors, and site staff.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Act as the main point of contact for client communication, resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and UK regulations (e.g., BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations).
  • Conduct regular quality control checks and audits to maintain high standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, cost forecasts, and financial reports for contracts.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Assist in securing new contracts by contributing to tenders, bids, and proposals.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends and competitor activities.
Requirements
  • Relevant Electrical Qualifications
  • ECS Black Card holder
  • Relevant Qualifications such as SMSTS, IOSH, NEBOSH
  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale electrical projects, ideally in commercial settings.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Competency in financial management and reporting.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Although not essential, experience working with Sage accounting would be advantageous.

Billable Works Manager

We are also looking for a Billable Works Manager at the same site. Max salary £50k with the same benefits as above to oversee the delivery of small to medium-scale projects, typically Building related with M & E content valued between £1,000 and £25,000 with tendered works up to £100,000. The role involves managing the quoting, planning, execution, and financial performance of billable works within a facilities management framework contract, ensuring compliance with contractual KPI's, safety standards, and customer expectations.

As a Billable Works Manager, you will undertake a hands-on and varied role based at our Nantwich Office, and covering sites in NW England, where your duties will include:

  • Produce budget and fixed price quotations, plan, manage, and deliver billable works projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects meet client specifications and deadlines.
  • Attend client stakeholder meetings, develop project scopes, estimates, and schedules, aligning with contractual and operational requirements.
  • Monitor project performance, addressing risks, delays, or quality concerns proactively.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers to deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to identify future billable opportunities.
  • Prepare detailed project estimates, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability.
