Job summary

CCL Global is recruiting a Contracts Manager for a major power client to support ITO/OTR teams in preparing and submitting Compensation Events quotations. The role focuses on the application of NEC 3 Option A, contractor and subcontractor fees, and cost identification to maximize margin. LOCATION: Stafford, 3 days per week (Tue–Thu) and 2 days from home.

RATE: Up to £75 per hour under Umbrella. The successful candidate will manage the contract lifecycle and provide guidance on CE opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, contract management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with NEC 3 Option A contracts.
• Experience with Compensation Events quotation methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office and contract management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end contracting process, including drafting, reviewing, and renewing agreements and amendments.
• Work with internal stakeholders to identify contractual requirements and ensure alignment.
• Negotiate and provide guidance on CE quotations and contract negotiations.

CCL Global are working with a major power client to hire a Contracts Manager to primarily support their project ITO/OTR teams to prepare and submit quotations for Compensation Events, assess and guide the team on specific issues like, but not limited to, application of contractor and subcontractor fees, risk allowances, application of proper rates, identification of claimable and non claimable costs.

• Location: Stafford - 3 days per week (Tues, Wed & Thursday) / 2 days from home (Mon & Friday
• Rate - Up to £75 p/h (Umbrella)
• A proven experience in NEC 3 Option A is essential for the role. Previous experience with SCOTTISH HYDRO ELECTRIC TRANSMISSION PLC is a PLUS but not essential.

Position Summary:

The Contract Management Specialist oversees the lifecycle of contracts, ensuring timely execution and compliance with organizational policies and legal requirements. Specifically, this role requires proven experience in Compensation Events quotation methodologies, including fees application for Contractor's and Subcontractor's Works, identification of CE opportunities and identification of the allowed additional costs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the endtoend contracting process, including drafting, reviewing, and renewing agreements, Compensation Events and contract amendments.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify contractual requirements and ensure alignment. Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to minimize contractual risks and maximize margin expectations.
• Ability to negotiate and to provide guidance to the project team in contract negotiations and CE quotations.
• Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, contract management, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in NEC 3 Option A type of contract.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and contract management tools
