Job Title: Contracts Manager

Salary: £80,000 + Company Vehicle

Location: National Projects

Sector: Design & Build Construction

Are you an experienced Contracts Manager with a proven track record in design and build main contracting? Would you enjoy leading complex national projects for a well‑established construction business with a strong reputation across the UK? This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Contracts Manager to join a large national contractor, overseeing the successful delivery of education, healthcare, and commercial projects with values up to £40 million.

You will take ownership of multiple projects from pre‑contract through to completion, ensuring all works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Working closely with Project and Site Managers, you will drive performance, manage client relationships, and ensure all contractual and commercial obligations are met.

Qualifications
  • Have significant experience within design and build main contracting
  • Possess strong contractual, commercial, and technical knowledge
  • Can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining control of quality, programme, and cost
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills across all project levels
  • Are proactive in resolving challenges and ensuring client satisfaction
  • Are willing to travel nationally and stay away when required
Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee multiple design and build projects nationwide
  • Manage all aspects of the contract, from pre‑construction planning through to handover
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including Design, Commercial, and Operations
  • Support Project Managers and Site Managers to ensure safe and efficient project delivery
  • Oversee and approve all variations, valuations, and client agreements
  • Ensure full compliance with building regulations, health and safety standards, and company procedures
  • Drive quality, efficiency, and performance across all sites
