  • Developing and maintaining key customer and supply chain relationships via regular communication and visits.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to reduce delays and the cost to serve customers via accurate weekly, monthly and six‑month forecasts for all contracts.
  • Contributing to the improvement of turnover and volumes and helping to secure a long‑term work bank by building relationships with key existing and new clients in your area, engaging with commercial teams, supporting key tenders and liaising with clients.
  • Driving the operational strategy, ensuring all operational activities comply with safety and business policies and procedures and are delivered within the required budget.
  • Driving the effective management of any exposure to both financial and risk, maximising financial return on all contracts and ensuring prompt cash collection within contract provisions.
  • Actively involving yourself in the resolution of contract disputes to maximise sustainable profit and cash flow.
  • Effective management, coaching and development of all direct reports, providing coaching and mentoring as necessary.
  • Promoting sustainable products and working methods with clients to reduce carbon.
Ideal Candidate

  • Product and operational technical knowledge with strong, effective operational experience.
  • Solid commercial knowledge and understanding with experience of estimating and costing systems.
  • Working knowledge of compliance and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Strong communication skills engaging at all levels with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to build and create vision for success.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • NEBOSH or IOSH Certified.
  • Higher Education qualification (HND / HNC Level or Degree) advantageous.
  • IT Literate: Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint.
