We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee the delivery of retail construction projects from inception through to completion. This is a key leadership role responsible for managing client relationships, contractual obligations, project delivery, and financial performance across multiple sites. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all contractual and commercial aspects of construction projects within the retail sector.
Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
Lead negotiations, variations, and dispute resolution with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed budgets, timelines, and specifications.
Monitor project performance, costs, and risks, providing regular reports to senior management.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring repeat business and customer satisfaction.
Work closely with site managers, project managers, quantity surveyors, and design teams to achieve project objectives.
Implement and uphold company policies, health & safety standards, and best practices on all sites.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Contracts Manager (or Senior Project Manager) within the construction industry, preferably with exposure to retail fit-out or refurbishment projects.
Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
