The Role

Contracts Manager role for a traditional building contractor, with an excellent name, who allow you the autonomy to deliver projects from start to finish, without the excessive red tape and typical tier 1 protocols.

The Company

The building contractor takes on projects of varied nature, Healthcare, education, local authority, commercial, private residential, sports and leisure, embassy and religious buildings. Known for delivery of construction projects ranging from £2m - £10m, including refurbishment and new build.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone with longevity experience working as a Contracts Manager across varied sectors, on projects up to £10m value. The candidate would be responsible for 2/3 smaller projects of £2-3m value, or 1 bigger project of £10m size.

The Project

Contractor operating in and around London, predominantly healthcare projects, NHS fitouts of wards. Experience as Contracts Manager within Healthcare sector. Attention to detail with design, managing M&E packages, in a high faced fully operational live environment.

Responsibilities

• Attendance and preparation of pre-tender and tender interviews
• Overall responsibility of up to 3 sites
• Preparation of the tender submissions working alongside the estimating team
• Production of tender programmes using Microsoft Projects or Asta.
• Understanding of JCT / NEC D&B Contracts.
• Implementation of the company procedures on site
• Implementation of the Health and Safety procedures
• Progress reporting and the production of the board reports
• Coordination of the design teams and contractor design packages
• Design & Build Experience
