Contracts Manager – Service and Maintenance

£24.73 per hour (PAYE) – £33.09 per hour (Umbrella)

Duration – 1 year. Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Contract Manager will be responsible for ensuring service levels and value for money are realised for a range of service providers.

Responsibilities
  • Health, Safety and Environment – Understand legislative requirements, provision in client/contractor relationships, robust EHS governance, performance monitoring and challenge contractors and organisation to safeguard safety and environmental performance.
  • Governance / Commercial Control – Develop and deploy effective KPIs and governance to protect customer requirements, ensure commercial arrangements accommodate them.
  • Quality Control – Ensure quality standards are achieved, adhere to internal policies, receipt and analysis of quality documentation, monthly service provider quality system management, practical problem solving analysis for abnormalities.
  • Procurement Interface – Maintain working relationship with Procurement, support strategic procurement reviews, provide key data, participate in procurement processes such as RFI, CFT, tender evaluation and service provider selection and negotiation, ensure contractual matters are dealt with promptly and jointly with Procurement and Legal.
  • Contractor / Customer Interface – Establish correct Service Provider / Purchaser relationship, provide single point of contact for service providers and internal customers, oversee deliverables of service providers, manage and execute work in a controlled, planned manner with robust procedures and processes.
  • Outputs – Safe & compliant provision of deliverables, contracts managed according to safety, quality, cost and delivery metrics, customer satisfaction achieved, cost performance managed to budget, maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.
Requirements
  • Experience managing contracts, ideally from a maintenance background.
  • Contracts will range up to £5 million.
  • Experienced managing subcontractors.
