The Role

This role supports the delivery of ground improvement projects from pre‑construction through to completion, ensuring works are planned, coordinated, and carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification. Based in Camberley with regular travel to sites across the Southern and Midlands regions, the position offers exposure to site operations, commercial management, and full project delivery.

Working closely with operational, commercial, and design teams, you will support project planning, manage handovers, and ensure all documentation, including method statements and risk assessments, is in place ahead of mobilisation. The role involves monitoring site performance, maintaining accurate records, and using company systems to track progress and reporting.

You will also contribute to cost control and financial performance by tracking variations, supporting forecasting, and reporting on project outcomes, while building strong client relationships and ensuring effective communication throughout. A strong focus on health, safety, and compliance is essential, including regular site visits and promoting a proactive safety culture aligned with the company WORKSAFE HOMESAFE commitment.

Some exposure to ground engineering, geotechnical, or civil projects would be advantageous, along with an interest in progressing towards a recognised professional qualification such as ICE or GeolSoc.

You will be enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to develop within a hands‑on site environment, with strong communication and organisational skills. A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and confidence in engaging with colleagues, site teams, and clients are essential, alongside a willingness to take ownership, solve problems, and follow tasks through to completion.

In return, you will gain valuable hands‑on experience across site operations, design implementation, and commercial management, as well as exposure to a wide range of ground improvement techniques and projects within a leading UK contractor.
