Contracts and Service Manager

£32,000 per annum

Chelmsford, Essex | Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm

Are you an experienced administrator with a knack for service coordination and contract management? We're working with a well‑established client in Chelmsford who is looking to appoint a Contracts and Service Manager to oversee the smooth running of their busy service department.

This is a pivotal role where you'll be the go‑to person for customers needing equipment servicing and contract support. You'll ensure operations run seamlessly, delivering a professional and customer‑focused experience every step of the way.

Duties:
  • Coordinate repairs, including booking equipment in, arranging collections/returns, and liaising with engineers and customers throughout the repair process.
  • Manage and administer maintenance contracts, including renewals, amendments, and updates.
  • Negotiate service contracts.
  • Prepare, issue, and track contract renewal quotations and service documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records in the CRM and service management systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service, handling calls and emails professionally and promptly.
  • Support the service and contracts team with general administration, scheduling and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing management reports and service performance data as required.
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to ensure efficient coordination of services.
  • Ensure all customer interactions and contract activities are compliant with company policies and procedures.

  • Proven ability to negotiate service contracts.
  • Background in contracts administration or service coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills and a confident, professional telephone manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/service management systems.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
