Job description

A vacancy has arisen within Business Services for a full-time Contracts Assistant. This is initially temporary for 18 months. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team supporting the Building Construction, Repairs and Maintenance team, based at Meadowfield Depot.

Responsibilities
  • Preparing project files for all Construction and Repairs and Maintenance projects ensuring all relevant documentation is included
  • Assist with the monthly valuation process to ensure correct costs are assigned to the projects
  • Liaising with sub-contractors and operational managers and operatives
  • Resolve queries relating to project numbers for timesheets
  • Hire of plant and equipment
Qualifications

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who takes pride in providing excellent customer‑service. The successful candidate will have good communication skills, be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines and with a high degree of accuracy, be well‑organised and flexible, have good IT skills and manage changing priorities. You will also need to be able to work unsupervised using your initiative. You will have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
