Overview

You will play a key role in supporting the team to ensure that contractors are effectively managed and are operating safely, efficiently and in line with compliance primarily at Villa Park but also across our other Club sites as and when required.

You will oversee all aspects of contractor engagement, from pre‑qualification and documentation review to delivering safety inductions, monitoring and issuing permits.

A key aspect of this role will be becoming proficient in our electronic safety management system – My Compliance – and you will be responsible for ensuring it is used as effectively and efficiently as possible.

This is a real opportunity to have real impact and promote a proactive, collaborative strong culture of Health and Safety throughout the Club.

Responsibilities
  • Support the team to ensure contractors are effectively managed and are operating safely, efficiently and in line with compliance at Villa Park and other Club sites as required.
  • Oversee all aspects of contractor engagement, from pre‑qualification and documentation review to delivering safety inductions, monitoring and issuing permits.
  • Become proficient in and ensure the effective & efficient use of the electronic safety management system, My Compliance.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proactive, organised individual with proven experience working in a similar role, preferably in a sporting, construction or large venue environment.
  • Hold a National General Certificate in Health & Safety or a similar qualification demonstrating a strong foundation in health and safety principles, risk management and regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable challenging non‑compliance whilst maintaining a professional and collaborative approach.
  • Strong written and communication skills with attention to detail, and the ability to communicate with impact ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way.
  • Must have a vehicle and/or the ability to travel between our Club sites.
  • Must also be able to work flexibly as the Club requires, which will include working evenings and weekends.
