Based in Stockport, Manchester

Up to £40.00 per hour
37-40 hours per week
Hybrid working: 4 days in the office (Mon‑Thu), 1 day WFH (Fri)
I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Highways Design Engineer to join a well-established consultancy’s Highways design team, based out of their Stockport office. This role would suit someone with a strong background in local authority highways design – particularly active travel, pedestrianisation and cycle schemes – rather than motorway projects. You’ll be joining a supportive, busy team delivering high‑profile local transport improvements across the region.
If you have strong highways design experience within the local authority or consultancy space and are looking for your next contract role in the Manchester area, I’d love to hear from you.
