Overview

Contract Senior Civil/Structural Site Engineer – South Essex (near Tilbury Docks). Contract position, up to £350 p/d Ltd, Outside IR35.

A Contract Senior Civil/Structural Site Engineer is required for a major civil/structural construction project in South Essex near to Tilbury Docks. The successful applicant will be responsible for various construction elements (civil and infrastructure) on one of the UK's major Maritime Construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site operations to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, quality, and HSE standards.
• Apply expertise in heavy civil and marine works to guide effective site delivery.
• Help to manage and coordinate a site team, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Liaise with client representatives and contractors on project matters.
• Report on progress, challenges, and resolutions.
• Maintain accurate daily site records and documentation.
• Review and monitor RAMS, ITPs, materials submittals, and other site documentation.
• Support junior staff development and knowledge transfer.

Details

• This role is 5 days a week with rotational Saturday shifts.
• Outside IR35 contract with an immediate start.
• Ideally candidates will already live within 45 minutes drive from Tilbury Docks.
• All applicants must have a car to get to and from site and there is limited public transport to this area.
