We are looking for 2 x Senior Business Analysts with proven experience in mortgage origination and system rollout. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of the Mortgage Origination Platform, collaborating closely with diverse business and technology teams. - Driving clarity by utilizing AI-enabled analysis and prototype-driven design to clarify the scope, processes, and requirements of the new platform, moving way from traditional BA methods eg. comfortable reverse-engineering from Design workshops to document requirements
- Converting complex mortgage and regulatory requirements into actionable system features that align with our business objectives.
- Support the implementation and adoption of the platform across various departments, including banking, credit, and operations, ensuring a smooth transition for all stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating alignment and collaboration to drive successful delivery.
- Create and maintain detailed user stories and acceptance criteria in compliance with regulations (e.g., MCOB, ESIS) and business goals.
- Conduct process mapping and optimisation of lending workflows, ensuring efficiency in contract variations and complex security structures.
- Facilitate workshops, prototype walkthroughs, and playback sessions to validate proposed solutions with stakeholders, ensuring all insights are incorporated.
- Collaborate closely with QA and product teams during system testing and validation phases, providing necessary training and change support to ensure institutional readiness.
- Stay informed about mortgage industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging AI practices in business analysis to enhance your contributions.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in rolling out or implementing a Mortgage Origination System (vendor or in-house), including configuration, testing, and adoption processes.
- Extensive knowledge of the end-to-end mortgage origination lifecycle, including applications, credit decisioning, affordability assessments, ESIS generation, and operations handover.
- Strong understanding of UK mortgage regulations (MCOB) and their implications for system design and requirements.
- Experience with leveraging AI in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - specifically for accelerating requirements analysis, prototype generation, and documentation.
- Comfortable working within an agile, fast-paced environment and adapting to non-traditional requirement methodologies.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent stakeholder engagement capabilities, with the ability to influence, negotiate, and collaborate effectively across teams.
Desirable Attributes (non-essential)
- Experience in Private Banking or High-Net-Worth lending.
- Familiarity with Dynamics 365 CRM (helpful but not essential).
- Exposure to cloud-native architectures (Azure preferred) and API-driven systems.
- Experience with Agile delivery and tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA.
- Relevant certifications (CBAP, PMI-PBA) are advantageous but not essential.
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) is a plus.
