Description
This position is responsible to operate many kinds of equipment and instrumentation, set up apparatus for chemical reactions, prepare compounds, monitor commercial production, test for raw material and product quality, and collect and analyze samples. They conduct a variety of laboratory procedures, from routine process control to complex research projects.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Conduct analytical testing of chemical products, intermediates and raw materials according to specifications and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Perform routine/non‑routine testing, both wet chemistry and instrumental analysis, according to SOPs, testing methods, protocols, and compendia (USP/EP/JP) with minimum supervision
- Maintain good relations with all Production personnel and other departments to solicit information and assistance when necessary
- Conduct testing on finished products to support customer technical issues and/or to support the investigation of product complaints
- Collect data from various tools and systems to analyze data collected by applying quantitative methods and techniques
- Maintain and clean laboratory instruments and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned by Quality Manager or Quality Control Supervisor

Education and Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Chemistry or Biology
Experience
- 3+ years of related industrial or laboratory experience
- Experience in validation and development of analytical methods
- Experience in an aseptic manufacturing environment is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge in wet chemistry techniques, titrations, UV, ICP
- Ability to work in a team environment within a multi‑functional, organizational structure and exhibit robust interpersonal skills
- Ability to sit, stand and move around the facility
- Ability to lift up to 25 lb
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to flex own style as needed to influence and drive results
- Ability to follow written instructions and possess basic math skills
- Critical thinking skills and analytical abilities which allow assessments of situations and opportunities
