Job summary

A leading Defence and Aerospace company in Stevenage is looking for a Production Test Engineer. The role involves testing and diagnosing electronic systems down to component level, providing engineering support, and generating technical documentation. Ideal candidates should have a strong understanding of test principles and electrical systems. This is a 12-month contract position offering £36ph Inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Experience testing down to component level.
• Familiarity with complex electrical/electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor.
• Test and diagnose complex electrical/electronic systems.
• Generate test specifications and technical reports.
• Identify remedial and corrective actions.
• Support meetings with Quality and Operations.

Skills

Understanding of measurement and test principles

Knowledge of electrical/electronic sub-systems

RF and microwave technology understanding

Environmental testing knowledge

Manual handling training
