Job Details

• Title: Contract Product Support Engineer
• Type: 12‑Month Contract
• Status: Inside IR35 (Umbrella PAYE)
• Rate: £300–£350 per day (depending on experience)
• Location: Surrey – Onsite initially, with flexibility for hybrid working thereafter

Role

This position focuses on testing, validation and technical support for innovative connected products being rolled out across global markets.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support for digital solutions and IoT platforms used across multiple countries
• Supporting the design, test, and validation of new digital and connected products
• Assisting with global product launches and technical documentation
• Designing and executing test plans in the in-house development lab
• Tracking and resolving technical issues in line with formal change control procedures
• Collaborating with Project Managers and Technical Leads to deliver best‑in‑class technical outcomes

Skills & Experience

• Degree in Engineering, Electronics, Computer Systems or similar
• 2–5 years’ experience within a product development or technical R&D environment
• Hands‑on understanding of wireless technology, IoT systems, and digital platforms
• Practical experience with fault‑finding, debugging and test execution
• Knowledge of analogue and digital electronics
• Strong analytical mindset and structured documentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident collaborating across different cultures and disciplines
