Job Title: Contract Manager (Further Education)

Duties

We are seeking a Contract Manager to lead the management of a high-profile government contract, ensuring legal and contractual compliance, strong stakeholder engagement, effective performance management, and close collaboration with operational teams. You will be responsible for the effective management of a major government contract,

  • Manage, monitor and oversee our client’s end-to-end contract process; ensuring it is compliant with legal, regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare, review and negotiate contracts – including statements of work, T’s & C’s, servicelevelagreements, andkeyperformance indicators.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth contractual delivery.
  • Undertakecontractperformance reviews, identify potential risks or areas for improvement, and recommend solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance contract performance and cost effectiveness.
  • Create and present performance reports, and other contractual documents to stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate updates on contract progress.
Essential Criteria
  • Must have experience of working within a similar Contract Management position, within the further education sector.
  • Experience of contract drafting interpretation and negotiation.
  • Experience in managing SLAs, KPIs and complex performance reporting.
  • Understanding of UK contract law, regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (written and verbal).
  • Full, clean, UK driving licence with own vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel.
