Contract Manager – Outsourcing & Procurement

Location: London (Hybrid)

Duration: 3 months initially, with high likelihood of extension

We’re looking for a skilled Contract Manager to support a major outsourcing programme by leading procurement and contractual negotiations for technology and IT operations services. This is a hands-on role focused on securing robust, commercially sound agreements that enable effective service delivery and protect organisational interests.

Role Overview

You’ll manage the full contract lifecycle, from RFP support through to supplier selection and contract signature to ensuring all legal, commercial, and operational requirements are met. Working closely with transition leadership, you’ll align contractual commitments with delivery expectations and embed commercial risk management throughout.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end contracting process for a major outsourcing initiative.
  • Support supplier evaluation and down-selection, ensuring comprehensive coverage of requirements.
  • Negotiate key terms, service levels, and commercial conditions.
  • Align contracts with transition plans and operational delivery needs.
  • Embed commercial risk management into all supplier engagements.
  • Contribute to long-term outsourcing and vendor management capability building.

Your Experience

  • Extensive experience negotiating and managing outsourcing contracts in IT and technology operations.
  • Proven track record supporting transitions from in-house to outsourced models or between managed service providers.
  • Familiarity with professional services environments, particularly large law firms.
  • Strong understanding of procurement models and commercial frameworks in complex, regulated settings.
  • Skilled at balancing commercial rigour with operational realities.
