We\'re searching for a dynamic and experienced Contract Manager to help build and lead a Fire Business Unit - a role offering real influence, autonomy, and career progression. The Role

As the Contract Manager, you\'ll be responsible for the overall leadership, compliance, and performance of the company\'s Fire Department. Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with the Electrical Manager, you\'ll oversee both office-based and field teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

  • Managing all fire alarm installation, maintenance, and servicing contracts across the South East.
  • Leading and developing supervisors, engineers, and admin staff to build a high-performing, values-driven team.
  • Overseeing departmental budgets, forecasting, and financial performance in collaboration with the senior leadership team.
  • Maintaining strict compliance with fire and electrical safety regulations.
  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and satisfaction.
  • Managing subcontractor performance where required.

About You

You\'ll be an experienced leader from the active fire safety industry, passionate about driving performance, quality, and safety. You\'ll combine strong technical knowledge with commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.

Key skills and experience:

  • Proven experience managing large teams within fire alarm systems, maintenance, or related sectors.
  • In-depth understanding of fire safety regulations, compliance, and installation standards.
  • Strong financial and commercial management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and people development abilities.
  • A proactive, analytical mindset with attention to detail and results.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.

Essential qualifications:

  • City & Guilds NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical (or equivalent)
  • FIA Unit Certificates (Design, Installation, Maintenance, Commissioning)
  • BAFE accreditation
  • City & Guilds #removed# (BS#removed#th Edition)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (held for at least 12 months)
  • Additional training such as Asbestos Awareness and manufacturer-specific certifications (Gent, Apollo, Siemens, etc.) are desirable.
