We're working with a respected and well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation across the North of Scotland. Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of infrastructure and groundworks projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to lead multiple projects across the Aberdeen and wider North East region.

As Contracts Manager, you'll oversee the successful delivery of a portfolio of civil engineering projects – ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to budget. You'll take ownership of client relationships, manage site teams, and provide strategic input to drive operational excellence and commercial performance.

Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects from pre-construction through to handover.
  • Lead site teams and ensure compliance with company procedures, health & safety, and quality standards.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor programme, progress, and financial performance across all projects.
  • Identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Support business growth and continuous improvement across operations.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Project Manager, or Senior Site Manager within civil engineering or infrastructure.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams.
  • Sound commercial awareness and understanding of NEC or similar contracts.
  • Track record delivering projects such as roads, drainage, groundworks, or utilities.
  • Based in or able to commute to the Aberdeen / North East Scotland area.
