Job summary

Corps Security is seeking an experienced Security Operations Manager to oversee security and business support services across the Manchester portfolio. You will lead operational colleagues and manage staffing for contracted and event-based work, ensuring contract performance and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have previous security management experience, strong communication skills and a proactive approach to budget oversight, KPI reviews and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.
• A valid SIA Front-Line Licence - essential
• A valid SIA CCTV Licence - desirable
• Previous Security Management experience.
• Confident in establishing and maintaining relationships at all levels.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
• Full UK Driving Licence - desirable
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Excel
• Able to meet BS7858 vetting standards

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for all operational colleagues and understand functions covered including security guarding, CCTV, access control, key holding, reception and general business support.
• Oversee staffing levels of contracted, ad-hoc and special events as per customer requirements.
• Liaise with customers and key clients to review contract performance, budgets and ensure quality standards for contract retention.
• Attend monthly KPI meetings with the client.
• Monitor and manage revenue and costs per contract costing model and prepare monthly forecasts.
• Lead, manage and motivate direct reports; conduct annual appraisals.
• Identify opportunities for additional business with current and potential customers.
• Drive technology, intelligence and innovation within the security portfolio.
• Manage training and career development; attend required training sessions.
• Check accuracy of monthly and ad hoc invoicing to clients.
• Participate in Out of Hours/Duty Executive processes as required

Manage the provision of security & business support services to clients within the portfolio ensuring specific contract and Company performance targets both, financial and operational, are consistently met and/or exceeded. You will be working Mon-Fri with out of hours - subject to operational demand. Portfolio will be spread across the Manchester area.

What you will need:

• Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus.

• Previous Security Management experience.
• Confidence and ability to establish and maintain good and effective working relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work to deadlines, multitasking and working under pressure.
• Full UK Driving License - desirable
• Excellent IT Skills including Microsoft Software Packages (e.g. Excel)
• Able to achieve vetting to BS7858 Standards

What are you going to do:

• Be responsible for all operational colleagues and have a full understanding of the functions covered including - security guarding, electronic solutions such as CCTV & access control, key holding, reception and general business support
• To be responsible for staffing levels of contracted, ad-hoc and special events as per customer requirements
• To liaise and meet with customers and key clients on a regular basis to review & record contract performance, agree budgets and ensure quality standards are consistently maintained, leading to contract retention
• Attend monthly KPI meetings with the client
• Monitor and manage revenue and costs in line with the current contract costing model and prepare monthly forecasts
• Lead, manage and motivate direct reports, conduct annual appraisals or job chats
• Identify areas for additional business, from both current & potential customers
• Drive technology, intelligence and innovation within the security guarding portfolio
• Manage personal training and career development, attend training sessions as and when required
• Check and maintain the accuracy of the monthly & ad hoc invoicing to clients
• Participate in Out of Hours/Duty Executive process as and when required
