Job summary

A regional main contractor in the UK is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee multiple large-scale industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have strong civil engineering experience and a proven track record of delivering projects on time and on budget. Job Description

The client is a medium sized regional main contractor with strong traditional core values, delivering design and build projects within the retail, industrial, commercial sectors. Due to an increase in contract wins, a Contract Manager is required to join the management team.

The role focuses on several large scale industrial new build projects. The successful Contract Manager will run three projects ranging from £5 million to £15 million.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver and manage up to three projects coherently, ensuring on‑time and on‑budget execution.
  • Coordinate project management and site delivery, maintaining smooth progress.
  • Build and maintain excellent client relationships, with a strong client‑manor ethos.
  • Apply and uphold health and safety standards, including any relevant qualifications.
  • Read drawings and apply CDM regulations accurately.
  • Maintain accurate paperwork and organisational systems.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience delivering education and commercial projects preferred.
  • Proven experience in industrial or shed type design‑and‑build projects.
  • Civil engineering experience essential; an engineering background advantageous.
  • Computer literate with excellent paperwork and organisational skills.
  • Health and safety qualifications considered an advantage.
