We’re working with a public sector organisation to appoint an experienced Contract Manager to oversee estate services across a large housing portfolio in West London.

This role is about ensuring residents live in safe, clean, and well-maintained estates. You’ll be responsible for managing key contracts, leading a small monitoring team, and driving improvements in service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and monitor cleaning and grounds maintenance contracts, ensuring KPIs and SLAs are achieved.
Lead and support a team of 4 Contract Monitoring Officers.
Hold monthly contractor meetings and produce performance reports.
Analyse service data and identify areas for improvement.
Work directly with residents, responding to complaints and queries.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements.
Collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
Support projects that promote sustainability and environmental goals.
Attend occasional resident and stakeholder meetings outside core hours.

Skills & Experience

Proven background in estate services contract management – cleaning and grounds maintenance are essential.
Experience managing contract monitoring teams.
Confident working with KPIs, reporting, and performance management.
Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Good data analysis skills and IT proficiency (MS Office, contract systems).
Ability to deliver improvements and manage change effectively.
Flexible, proactive, and able to manage deadlines in a busy environment.
