Overview

Annual salary: up to £60,000.00

Contract Manager

Location: Islington

Salary: £60,000 per annum

Hours: 42.5 hours per week

Fulltime – permanent Monday – Friday

Company van, fuel, equipment and uniform will be provided

At Mears, we provide tailored rapid-response and planned maintenance services to over 70 local authorities, ALMOs, and Housing Associations across the UK.

We are the largest provider of repairs, maintenance, and regeneration services in the sector—and proud to put people at the heart of what we do.

We’re now looking for an experienced and motivated Contract Manager to lead our team in Islington, managing services across occupied properties to ensure quality, safety, and resident satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Management of all aspects of operational and commercial delivery, overall contract performance in line with contractual commitments and agreed company & client protocols. Managing works to programme time frames, producing project
  • Ensure compliancy and adherence to health & safety regulations, Mears standard operating procedures Mears values and quality assurance accreditations. Demonstrate, maintain and monitor the company’s commitment to best practice with legislation, codes of practice & good working practices relevant to all work activities
  • End-to-end management of Capital works and high-risk properties across a range of occupied homes
  • Line management of five supervisors, including performance reviews, one-to-ones, and daily briefings
  • Oversight of KPIs, reporting, and service delivery standards
  • Handling client queries and managing resident complaints effectively
  • Supporting and engaging operatives and branch teams to achieve high-quality outcomes
  • Office-based in Milton Islington with regular site visits
  • Full valid driving license
