Job summary

TM Green Group is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple live groundworks and civil engineering schemes across the Redditch region, ensuring delivery on time, within budget and to exacting standards.

You will manage site teams, subcontractors, and client relationships while driving performance across all phases of delivery and maintaining health & safety compliance.

This senior leadership role offers long-term progression within a growing contractor.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager in groundworks or civil engineering.
• Experience delivering residential, industrial, infrastructure, or commercial projects.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Managing multiple groundworks and civil engineering projects simultaneously
• Leading site teams including Project Managers, Site Managers, Engineers, and subcontractors
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and within budget
• Monitoring commercial performance alongside surveying teams
• Managing client relationships and attending progress meetings
• Driving programme delivery and resolving operational challenges
• Overseeing health & safety compliance across all sites
• Supporting pre-construction and planning activities where required
• Managing subcontractor performance and operational standards
• Producing regular progress and performance reports for senior leadership

The Role:

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within groundworks or civil engineering
• Strong background delivering residential, industrial, infrastructure, or commercial projects
• Excellent leadership and operational management skills
• Strong understanding of construction programmes and sequencing
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage project performance
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications preferred
