Contract Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Company Overview

A manufacturing site is looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join on a contract basis. This is a hands-on role suited to someone confident working in a fast-paced food or FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns and ensure machinery is back up and running quickly
• Carry out planned maintenance across the production area
• Fault-find on both electrical and mechanical issues
• Work on equipment such as dicers, weighers, bagging machines, fryers, and conveyors
• Keep maintenance records up to date and maintain safe working practices at all times

Requirements

• Multi-skilled engineer with strong electrical and mechanical skills
• Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG environments
• Level 3 engineering qualification, apprenticeship, or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and start quickly

Shift Pattern

• Rotating early and late shifts Monday to Thursday
• Shorter Friday shifts
