Job summary

A leading employment agency is seeking a Contract Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a recognized brand in London. This dynamic role involves fault finding, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ideal candidates will be NVQ qualified and have proven experience in maintenance engineering. A strong knowledge of PLC-controlled systems is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Craft apprenticeship in Electrical Maintenance Engineering required.
  • Proven experience in managing plant and equipment maintenance.
  • Experience in a fast-paced production environment is ideal.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake all elements of Electrical Maintenance Engineering.
  • Perform fault finding for various electrical systems.
  • Execute emergency breakdown and repair tasks.
  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance.

Brightwork is delighted to be supporting our client, a household recognised branded employer, responsible for the production of the highest standards of products to meet discerning global demand.

The role – Contract Electrical Maintenance Engineer

You will have a dynamic and varied role and will be responsible for undertaking all elements of Electrical Maintenance Engineering, both from a manufacturing plant and equipment and site wide facilities basis, within a dynamic, fast paced production environment.

Your duties and responsibilities will include;

  • Fault finding
  • Emergency breakdown and repair
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance
  • New plant and equipment installation as required

You will have undertaken a craft apprenticeship and be an NVQ qualified (or equivalent) time served Electrical Maintenace Engineer. You will have proven experience managing all elements of plant and equipment and facilities maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing, production or associated environment. You will be able to demonstrate first class fault finding and plant repair experience, a working knowledge of a broad range of fast moving production plant and equipment would be a distinct advantage. Experience within a PLC equipment controlled environment would be a distinct advantage.
